Hi Roelf
I'm swinging over from forum.deviantart.com/art/photo… to drop my R0.02 worth.

First off, a statement of bias - I'm seriously not into Holga lenses!!! Old glass, old styles, etc - cool. But I struggle with the low quality Holga (and many pinholes). OK, with that off my chest, there will thus be no comments on the use of unsharp masks, or the vignetting, because it was clearly an intentional choice!

The image has a lot going for it compositionally - the crane arms (?) along the top, and the green railing on the right, encloses a nice bit of space, holding the eye in that stretch of water. But I think maybe something in water, heading up to the centre from the bottom left, would draw the eye back into the image - right now, my eye gets stuck a little in the water, without wanting to move on. The vignetting holds it in, but nothing seems to be pushing back into motion, if that makes any sense!
The layer of cloud across the top has a similar constraining feel, holding one 'in' the image, as it were.

Colour wise, the overcast lighting is quite flat. Whipping it into GIMP and de-saturating it, it has a lovely feel in black and white. It has a great tonal range which seems to make more sense to me in monochrome than the muted colours, and the compositional elements seem to stand out more strongly. A minor contrast tweak then pulls out the highlight on the water just below the centreline, which pulls my eye back into the image. And the lo-fi Holga effects seem to go with the 'old-school' look of the monochrome. A touch of sepia, and you are back in the 30's! The confusing machinery centre left also disappears then, cleaning up the strong lines.
So, my liberties with you vision can be seen here: fav.me/da8uv8o

These are just some options and opinions! Your mileage and tastes may vary, but hopefully they spark some thoughts!
